Paul Gray

Paul Gray (born April 8, 1972) is the bassist for the nine-piece metal/alternative metal band Slipknot. Unlike the rest of the band which resides at Des Moines, Iowa, he lives in Los Angeles.
In his youth, Gray performed in bands such as Anal Blast, Vexx, Body Pit, and Inveigh Catharsis.

Paul is a rather underrated bassist due to his anonymous demeanor and the "pick" playing style he uses when performing with the band.
In June 2003, Gray crashed his car into another vehicle. Turmoil was caused within Slipknot's fanbase when Gray's mugshot from the incident surfaced, as at this time, with the exception of Corey Taylor, Drummer Joey Jordison, and guitarists James Root and Mick Thomson, unobstructed photographs of most members of the band's faces were exceptionally rare.
Earlier tracks such as 'Confessions' or 'Do Nothing/Bitchslap' are great showcases
of his playing skill.
He uses a left handed Warwick Thumb Bass.
In 2010 Slipknot released the Download 2009 performance on DVD in memory
of Gray.
